The Oikos Team

Oikos Development Corporation was formed in December 2018 as a Kansas City regional 501(c)3 community development corporation in direct response to the lack of affordable housing in the region, and the lack of nonprofit community development corporations left to address this increasing need. 

30 years of affordable housing experience...and counting!

  Oikos has CHDO status in several locations: 

• Johnson County, January 2019
• City of Independence, November 2019
• State of Kansas, January 2020

 ODC works with with OCM Builders to maintain quality control on all projects. OCM then employs local subcontractors within in the community to deliver high quality, on-time construction solutions. 

OCM Builders is a recently formed company with construction superintendents who have over 100 years of combined experience in single and multi-family housing. 

 ODC also works closely with Cathexes Architecture, based out of Reno, NV, with licensed architects from around the country. Cathexes has over 30 years of experience in designing affordable housing.

 In the Midwest, ODC partners with Hernly Associates and their design & construction supervision process.
